Oatmeal Tub!

Sometimes if I notice Sawyer's bum getting a little red I'll draw him an oatmeal tub and just add a few drops of lavender oil instead of using a store bought bath wash.  I can definitely tell that it's better for his skin since the redness is gone within 24 hours and he feels much more moisturized.

Tubs are still a super fun time for us.  Sawyer concentrates on my face and mimics my smiles and even sings back to me since we usually put some music on while we get clean!  It's a nice relaxing time for the both of us and I can definitely tell it gets him ready for bed since he eats and crashes way quicker than any other time of the day!

Weigh-In!

HOLY MOLY!  Sawyer now weighs 13lbs. 14oz!!

That's a pound and 3oz. weight gain from last tuesday!!

A Lovely Quilt

There's lots of amazing things about being a Welniak but my favorite is all the great friends I've made through this family.  Two very special people are Pooch and Kitty!  Kitty is this amazing crafter and made this quilt for Sawyer to match our decor and the decor in his nursery.  I have a few photos of him as a wee babe on it but these are better because he's smiling.  

Thanks again Kitty for the beautiful quilt that Sawyer will have for his entire life!

2 Months Old!

I can't believe our little man is 2 months old!  I'm going to try to take photos of him with his "number" every month he gets older.  Two months...WOWZA!!

Tummy Time!

Little Bear!

We got a huge dump of snow a few days back and everyone was cranky except us Welniaks!  I totally forgot about this cute little bear coat Sawyer had in his closet and the snow gave us a last opportunity to have him wear it! 

Good Morning!!

We've rearranged our sleeping arrangement a bit and now I wake up to a happy little boy every morning!  It's so wonderful knowing Sawyer is full, happy and rested every morning when our little family wakes up!

2 Months and Cross-eyed!

Sawyer loves his new "Jungle Gym" so much he goes cross eyed when he tries to focus on the hanging tiger and butterflies.  He loves to kick and squirm around on the mat and I can't wait to put him on his belly for tummy time on it!

Visit with Auntie Megan!

We had a great visit with Auntie Megan the other day!  We went for a long walk, which Sawyer spent most of passed out with his face in the sunshine!!

Mr. Big Head!

During our Dr's. appt yesterday they also weighed and measured Sawyer.  Something I didn't know was so important was the head measurement, it's essential baby's head is growing to house baby's big growing brain.  Apparently, we have a rocket scientist...  Sawyer's in the 98% percentile of kids in Canada...which means that on 2% of boys his age have a head as big as his.  Thank goodness I had a c-section!!
